Trapped by Haemuri

 31/01/26

Trapped by Haemuri is a romance manhwa that centres around taxi driver, Han Chae Ah, as she navigates herself into a very dangerous situation. A man at the church she goes to turns out to be a vampire, who had just assigned her the role of being his body delivery. Unfortunately, Han Chae Ah cannot report him to the police because of her criminal record, so she devises ways to stop him or escape safely. What she didn't know was that she would end up forming an alliance with him, on the contrary.

This one has to be my second favourite manhwa. For those who didn't know, I'm a sucker for vampire romances and this one excels. I had found this manhwa a couple of years ago when scrolling for... surprise, even more yandere content lol. Suprisingly I saw the cover to this way before and didn't bother reading it, due to thinking it was an action manhwa (maybe Park Yoon Soo looked like he was someone from an action manhwa??) I was surprised to know that it wasn't tough and decided to jump straight in. At the start, it was like a rollercoaster, and I did not enjoy the male lead as much because of how he treated Chae Ah, but then he decided to grow on me. After all, how are vampires supposed to survive without blood? Though I completely disagree with what he did to her. It takes ages to get to the romance, and trust me, I think it was worth it. I just enjoyed how they had separate goals until they aligned due to encountering conflict. To me, that's what made the chemistry, in my opinion.

I also enjoyed the art style, which was quite different from many and started to evolve over time. I believe I recommended this to a friend, and they told me how they couldn't read it due to it, but I believe it is worth it. It honestly just marks the author's progress over time and their willingness to improve, and that is what I love to see. Both Yoon Soo and Chae Ah look so good, though. I love Chae Ah's eyes, how vicious she is, and her strong mind, and Yoon Soo's calmness, yet when it comes to Chae Ah, he changes a lot. She brings many problems to him at the very start because, of course, she would, bro literally made her be his accomplice. I love the chaotic relationship they have. Instead of Chae Ah falling head over heels for Yoon Soo, she decides to put herself first. The trauma from her past relationship impacts her majorly at that point, and it shows when she describes her feelings for Yoon Soo as something she will hate. Which, honestly, was sad, but it really drew me to her character.

Also, I will say this story really enticed me to read more after they had gotten together. Usually, when it comes to stories like those, I put it off. It just kept going, though, and even had an arc that I extremely love and cannot spoil, where she is extremely mad with Park Yoon Soo.

I have to give a thorough review later, because I even love the side characters. School is honestly burning me out, though, and I want to take some time to do my studies. I hope you like this review and give it a shot. It's a great manhwa if you're looking for angst and romance. It's especially a enemies to lovers done right.

8/10

Bye!!
